About Riptide Bins

Tripp is our 14-year-old son that, as long as I can remember, has always tried to figure out ways to make his own money. From working on inventions to penny stocks, he’s always pitching ideas to myself and his father with ideas. We always told him if he could really land a good idea then we would be his biggest supporters and investors. Well, that day came a few weeks back. Being local to Ocean Isle Beach, Tripp loves to fish. He uses the public access often and he has been blown away during this busy season to see sometimes up to six cans at each site overflowing, full of gross and smelly items and at times maggots. He was like, wow that is gross and if I was a renter beside one of these I could not breathe for a week. He of course brushed it off and thanked the good lord that the sea breeze at least kept the smell in the right direction most of the time, away from the beach! Later that night he had his moment where the light bulb went off and came to us for a wagon and a pressure washer to clean trash cans. We researched it and were amazed at how necessary it was to keep receptacles clean to prevent bacteria. However, a pressure washer was not enough, with the messy spread of germs we needed super HOT water. So, after some more research he found that we could purchase a trailer and RIPTIDE BINS was started. An investment for us but a dream come true for him!
